The more I read about the “going to take PA away from Obama” gambit, the more I think that Gramps has skipped a groove again.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, here’s what’s going on in PA:

“Despite polls showing him trailing Democrat Barack Obama by double digits in Pennsylvania, John McCain continued to treat the state as if the whole election depended on it.”

“All the McCain activity is happening in a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans by nearly 1.2 million, double from four years ago; where Obama, flush with cash, is outspending McCain on television by several orders of magnitude; and where the Democrats have an organizational advantage.”

Alrighty then. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it damn sure looks unlikely. The reasoning is that Obama didn’t win in the primaries (against a formidable opponent who did really well in suburban Philly?) and that older voters don’t like him much. It’s not much to hang your hat on, but I guess when you’re up against the wall, you’ve got to believe in the longshot.
