Few things in public policy astonish me. Color me astonished.  What bureaucrat looked at a state population with over 600,000 people uninsured and thought “I know, we’ll have a lottery where 90,000 people can compete for 10,000 possible places in the state health insurance system! That will make our state look well-run!”  Loser.

Here. Go read it for yourself. The disabled and allies will remember Oregon as the state where it’s legal to off someone who is living in a lingering “undignified” uncommunicative state and where they have a DNR policy towards disabled people encountered by emergency aid workers.
