How low can he go?

The most recent Newsweek survey is in. Bush is at 28% approval. More to the point, it’s been two years since his administration has satisfied more than 30% of the likely voters contacted. The anger is deep and wide.

I guess what most surprises me is that this comes from Newsweek. They usually contend that there is a liberal bias in polls and use a polling methodology to “balance” (make more pleasing to conservatives) their results. When Newsweek has you stuffed down in the bottom of the hamper with dirty socks and Harry Truman, you’re really screwed.

Were you thinking the Limbo song when you titled this one :)? I know I was…

What mildly interests me about this thirty per cent…

Will they throw themselves behind Brownback in the primary and then shift to McCain? Or is it going to be all McCain all the time if enough fear gets whipped up in the pulpit?

I can’t imagine this thirty per cent holding their nose and voting for a New Yorker…and they’re going to have a *real* theological wrestle on their hands if they vote for Romney…Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses are just as hated as “liberals” amongst right wing evangelicals.

Unfortunately, I don’t think any of that 30% is going to heed the admonition to be “in the world but not of it,” and stay home.

Dobson,Falwell,Robertson…*they like* the leftover spotlight to much not to call their listeners to the polls.
