It’s good to keep your eye on the electoral map at this time of the year. I like this one because it updates daily and is keyed to the Rasmussen poll. If I’m going to get bad news, I want to hear it from a pollster that leans right and tends not to count in leaners.
What we learn from today’s results is that Ohio is teetering red (but not enough to soil oneself about and certainly not by the margin I expected after hearing the big hoo-hah about how much Palin was doing for white men) and Florida is back to dead even. I braced myself for the convention/Palin bump, and instead, what I got was really good news in Florida, a rapidly closing gap in NC (an anti-bounce, if you will), and a thin and closing margin in Va. Colorado’s lead increased for Obama. Overall, for the week after the Republican convention, it doesn’t look too bad.
Edited to add: Whoops! Spoke too soon about NC, didn’t I?
Your analysis welcome.
